The Client:
Our client is Australia’s biggest Hydraulic service provider, a truly renowned name across the industry. Currently, they are looking for an organised and detail-oriented Workshop Planner to join their team. This full-time position will provide the applicant with an opportunity to manage workflow and production timelines across multiple sites, including the new state of the art Neerabup facility. About the Role:
Based in Neerabup, this role is tailor made for a naturally structured and organised person who can communicate well with various stakeholders to influence harmonious workflow. A well-versed understanding of processes and workflows will see you liaise with key business figures to ensure jobs are on track and customer expectations are met. Your skillset will be supported by an up-to-date digital platform from which you will be operating, providing full visibility over the operation. You will need to be agile and resilient to ensure you provide the best outcomes to day-to-day challenges and setbacks in production. The role will suit someone who can understand workflows, identify and rectify problems whilst remaining calm under pressure. A forward-thinking nature with the ability to be creative when needed is an ideal combination for success.
Scope of Work:
The day to day of the role will see you:
- Oversee multiple sites to ensure production does not stall
- Conduct capacity planning based on labour and material availability
- Work to customer expectations and due dates
- Identify potential delays early and communicate these to relevant stakeholders
- Forecast workflows and ensure workshops are not over capacity
- Manage workflow and process in a structured and organised manner
- Provide operational input and be involved in key decision-making processes
- Be on the shop floor getting a true understanding and feedback on what is happening
Whilst some understanding of engineering / hydraulics is favourable, this is not a highly technical role. At the core, you will be organised, structured and detail oriented. It is imperative you are a good communicator and are looking for a role that provides real ownership over the outcomes.
- Previous experience in planning / co-ordinating role
- Basic understanding of Workshop Engineering / Hydraulics preferred
- Confidence to make decisions or recommendations once settled in
- Detail focused and structured
- Ability to use software programs and SAP systems to manage workflow and materials
- Strong, clear communicator with ability to liaise between stakeholders
