Warehouse Worker – Full Time Hours (Casual)

Our client is a WA family owned and operated butcher who have been supplying Perth with quality meats since the 1980’s. Their passion for meat has been passed down through 3 generations, and with continued growth they are looking to add a dedicated warehouse worker to their team in Wangara.
About the Role:
The role involves working at the client's recently renovated factory where you could find yourself completing a variety of tasks daily. From working outside on the forklift loading and unloading trucks, to inside picking and packing in the cold storage rooms. It will suit someone who is looking for some career growth and would be excited by the opportunity to take on more responsibility and leadership as they grow into this position.
For the right people, the client provides opportunities to upskill and develop through attainment of licenses relevant to their role. The role is offered initially as casual (full time hours), with the aim of progressing to a permanent contract. Additionally, regular overtime is available through the peak periods, with penalties paid.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a hard-working individual who takes pride in getting the job done right the first time with the role requiring a high attention to detail. The ideal candidate would be someone with previous experience working with small goods in a warehouse environment and be comfortable to read off a picking slip to prepare our range of meat products for dispatch. It would also be favourable to have demonstrated experience operating forklifts in tight factory space settings as you will be operating in and out of cold rooms and loading vehicles.
