Warehouse Role - Forklift

  • $32 - $35 per hour, plus super and penalties
  • 12 weeks work (full time hours) - with chance of extension
  • Mon - Fri work - based in Bayswater
About the role:
My client is a major supplier to the building industry in WA, servicing everyone from large scale commercial clients to “mum and dad” renovators. As a big player over an extended period, it is natural their business has grown in line with the WA building market.

Currently, they are looking to add extra warehouse staff with experience on the forklift or loader to their team at their main site in Bayswater. The role will be offered as a casual assignment over a 12-week period initially, with a chance of extension should a candidate go in and do well!

The day to day of the role will involve receiving stock, storing in the warehouse, picking and packing orders, completing order documentation, loading orders onto delivery trucks, and some customer engagement. Please note experience in all these areas will be required for consideration.

Why such a good opportunity?
  • Opportunity to impress the client over an extended period without long term commitment
  • Dynamic role where you are doing different things throughout the day
  • Full time hours on casual rates
  • Be on your feet and moving around, not just sitting on a forklift all day
  • Ability to engage with customers, working in a friendly team environment
  • Penalties on any overtime
What do we ask from you?
  • Committed and reliable - we need full time attendance over the 12 week period
  • Good communicator - be able to work with the team and liaise with customers when required
  • LF or loader ticket and experience loading vehicles
  • Previous experience in warehouse environment with goods in, out, picking and packing
  • Ability to understand and complete documentation associated with orders
  • Strong attention to detail - client needs orders to be correct the first time, every time
  • Positive contributor to team environment
  • Ability to pass DAS
