About the Client:
Our client is a WA owned and operated manufacturer and installer of commercial vehicle fit outs, servicing consumer and business customers across Perth for over 50 years. Due to an ever-increasing demand, they are looking to add new members to their installation team in Welshpool. The role will suit applicants with previous experience in basic fabrication, trade assistant or assembly work – note a good level of tool experience will be required to be considered.
Due to the nature of their work and their market reputation, it is paramount you have a high attention to detail and desire to complete every job as if it was being fitted to your own vehicle.
About the Role:
The day-to-day of this role will see you work with the team to fabricate and / or install a range of vehicle accessories including roof racks, toolboxes, canopies, shelving etc. Basically, anything you see fitted to Utes and 4WD's. Customer demands are varied and meeting these is paramount to the reputation of the client, as such, it is vital that you have a personality that is comfortable with adapting to changing priorities throughout the day. You will be required to use a range of hand and power tools to measure, cut, shape and fit the accessories.
As we are working on a variety of fleet, care and attention to detail are non-negotiable. Throughout the week you may find yourself collaborating with your team or working on some jobs independently.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate is someone with previous experience in assembly or light fabrication. A competence with the use of hand and power tools is essential, additionally the ability to work independently whilst communicating well with other members of the team is key to seamlessly fitting into the workshop.
