Our Client is a leader in resource recovery. Their industry leading facility is designed to receive, process, separate and repair community discarded materials, with the goal of repurposing, reusing and recycling.
Based in Hazelmere, their dedicated, professional, skilled and safe Workshop are looking to expand their team with a Trade Assistant to assist their Heavy Duty Mechanics.
Trade Assistant
· $41.90 per hour + super + penalties
· Opportunity to enter Local Government workforce
· Full time hours Monday to Friday
About the Role:
This role will see the successful candidate assisting Heavy Duty Mechanics with all aspects of upkeep on our client’s plant and equipment. The day to day may see you involved in fuelling, greasing, servicing and repairing at a minimum. Joining a well-established, long-term team based in Hazelmere, the role has the potential to progress to permanency for candidates showing the right attributes.
Who are we looking for?
First and foremost, you must be capable of fitting into the current workplace environment, enjoy working alongside others and be willing to be part of the team. A mechanical mindset with some experience working on vehicles / machinery is ideal, even if this has been through hobbies rather than in the workplace. Any experience with pumps will be looked upon favourably, however not necessary. A level of physical fitness is required for lifting, as well as getting in and under plant and equipment. Finally, a HR licence, as well as a Forklift ticket and experience are necessary to be considered for the role.
