About the Client:
Our client is a leading global manufacturer of Steel Building Products to the residential and commercial construction trade. Based at their expansive Wangara manufacturing facility, we require new team members to work in the Stores, Loading and Customer Collections areas.
About the Role:
Long term opportunities exists for reliable individuals with Stores/ Forklift Loading experience to join the team in Stores and Customer Collections. Involves locating orders and loading onto client vehicles and trucks. You must be well organised & a good communicator, able to efficiently locate and load customer orders from the yard and work well as part of a team.
Ideal candidates will have previous experience working in a customer facing warehousing environment as well as safe forklift operation skills and always utilising safe manual handling practices during all duties.You are on your feet most of the day and manual handling is a requirement, so a reasonable level of fitness is required. You will possess a strong sense of safety and a good understanding of warehouse OHS requirements.
These roles are offered initially as casual (with full time hours), with the aim of progressing to a permanent contract position. Additionally, regular overtime is available through peak periods, with penalties paid.
Successful factors for this role:
· Be available for an immediate start
· LF Ticket and experience loading vehicles
· Previous Warehousing / Stores / Yard Hand experience
· Reliable and Punctual with a good attitude and friendly nature
· Takes ownership over completing tasks
· Physically fit and positive friendly attitude
· Self-motivated, proactive and a team player
· Suit candidates living NOR and able to pass DAS
· Have the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test as well as random tests
· Be Australian permanent resident with full working rights
