Press Brake Operator
This operation is a very successful well run , privately owned Australian company based in Wangara. They provide high precision laser cutting and architecturally designed and engineered sheetmetal products to a variety clients throughout WA.
They are seeking an experienced Press Brake operator to join their team on either Day
or Afternoon Shift.
About the Job:
You will be operating press brakes and laser cutting machines to produce high quality metal components and architectural products. You'll be working independently, liaising with the Production Manager to ensure the final product is of high quality. The basic role responsibilities include machine setup, operation, routine maintenance, and ensuring a clean, safe work environment. You will also need to separate and organise cut materials efficiently for downstream processes. Ongoing and detailed training in the operation of various machinery will be provided.
Key Duties:
- Operate a Bystronic manual press brake
- Perform tooling changes and set up
- De-nest, inspect, and sort finished parts
- Read, interpret engineered drawings
- Produce architectural screens and components
- Previous experience operating a Press Brake
- Experience read and interpreting drawings
- Be reliable, honest and hardworking
- Work well with others in a team environment
- Have excellent verbal and written English skills
- Be physically fit and able
Pay Details
- Day Shift: 7am to 3pm, 40 hr week, $45 p/h + penalties
- Afternoon Shift: 3pm to 1am, 40hr week, $54 p/h incl loading + penalties
