About the role:

As a member of the WALGA preferred supplier panel, IRP specialise in supplying support to Local Government organisations across Perth. Currently, we have roles available in Parks & Gardens, Irrigation, Streetscapes and Mowing teams.

Whether you have previous experience working in Local Government or are new to the industry, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Your day begins at the relevant depot (6.30am), where you will go over the daily maintenance schedule for your team. You will mobilise on Council vehicles, fully equipped with top-of-the-line equipment. Throughout the day you will travel between multiple locations conducting maintenance and upkeep on the public use spaces before returning to the depot for a 3.30pm finish.

On location, your flexibility and experience will allow you to assist the team with whipper snipping, blowing, pruning, trimming, hedging, edging, mowing, litter picking, spraying, tree services and all waste services.

A hard worker, you will be happy to follow instructions. You will also have a friendly and respectful nature that will allow you to fit easily into the team.

As with the majority of Local Government jobs, the roles are offered on a casual basis. However, they are long term in nature with consistent hours. They also provide an opportunity to showcase your skills and work ethic to Local Government organisations for the prospect of permanent work in the future.

What do we ask from you?

  • Must  have MR (Medium Rigid) Licence and White Card
  • Must have Spray/Chemical ticket
  • Must have experience such as spraying, whiper sniper, mowing & irrigation
  • Can pass a Drug and Alcohol Screening
  • National Police Clearance (within 3 - 6 months old)
  • Certificate III Horticulture is desirable
  • You will be able to represent our client in a professional, friendly, reliable and helpful manner at all times
