Are you a Perth based Electrician and sick of repetitive residential or commercial jobs? Looking for some variation and enjoyment in your days? Then read on..
About the Role
Our client is a Perth owned and operated electrical supplier specialising in the provision of tailored, temporary power and lighting solutions for events across WA. They have established themselves as the ‘go to’ in the events space with a reputation for collaborative service, safety and reliability.
Currently they are looking to add further Trade Qualified Electricians to their team on a full-time basis. It must be said, this is a unique opportunity with a niche appeal, however a dream for those looking to break the monotony of doing the same thing day in day out!
Starting the day from the workshop in Bibra Lake (6am summer, 8am winter), this role will see the successful applicant work together with the close-knit team to design, plan, roll out, install, and monitor electrical and lighting supplies for customer events. These events range from large international touring artists, large scale and boutique festivals to smaller local government occasions.
As a trade qualified expert, when on site you will be supported by teams of trade assistants and labourers. Additionally, the client has a couple of eager apprentices to provide skilled assistance, noting as they are still learning their craft it will be important to guide and educate them on certain tasks. Whilst this means much of the heavy lifting and cable roll out is taken care of, it also dictates that you need to be a patient, strong communicator with an organisational mindset.
This is a full-time role, however the client is open to a 6-month option on casual rates to allow time to understand the role and requirements. Given the nature of the events space, weekend work is going to be a requirement, especially in peak months (Feb – April). There is flexibility to the scheduling, and it is a great opportunity to make great money (then escape to Europe in winter) – but if weekend work is a definite no… this is not the role for you!
