Our client is a Perth owned and operated electrical supplier specialising in the provision of tailored, temporary power and lighting solutions for events across WA. They have established themselves as the ‘go to’ in the events space with a reputation for collaborative service, safety and reliability. They are currently looking to add further administrative support to assist with their increasing workload. As a small business, they are very employee focused – you will be supported by an experienced team and systems, with no two days being the same.The new role will see the successful applicant provide support to both the General Manager and Office Manager. Once settled in and comfortable with the systems in place, it will develop into having ownership over tasks and areas of the business operation – this will be tailored based on the strengths of the candidate with the aim of reducing the workload on the current staff. The scope of the role may include, client liaising, data entry, accounts receivable, scheduling, quoting and invoicing assistance. Once again, the tasks will be suited to the skillset and goals of the successful applicant.
The Ideal Applicant:
As the office is busy and fast moving, we are looking for applicants with existing administrative experience. You might be working for a larger company where you are restricted in what you can do or be coming from a customer service background and looking for something different. To be the right fit you will need to be personable with a positive attitude, the company has a great culture and vibe they want to maintain. Any administration experience with blue collar companies will be advantageous, especially in the electrical space. Additionally, MYOB experience is highly preferable and exposure to scheduling and / or accounts receivable is a big plus.
