About the Client:
Our client is a family-owned producer and distributor of premium smallgoods to retailers and hospitality outlets across Australia. Their passion for providing a high-quality product and outstanding customer service has been passed down through three generations and led to an ever-increasing customer base. Currently, they are looking to add an experienced Bookkeeper to their administrative team, based at their Wangara site.
 
About the Role:
As the sole Bookkeeper in a small, but growing business, the role will be both busy and diverse in nature. The day to day will see you managing Accounts Payable / Receivable, reconciling, invoicing and liaising with clients. While the role is all encompassing, there is plenty of support provided from both Senior Management and their External Business Accountant to ensure your success.

As they continue to build a strong team, there will be opportunity to influence system improvements and develop professionally, with this growing business.

Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will be looking for fast-paced work in an environment they provide subtle influence over the processes and procedures. Given the variety in the day, it is imperative you are well organised and a good, rational communicator. Extensive experience with MYOB or Xero is essential, along with accurate data entry and a strong attention to detail. The ability to build strong relationships with clients through debtor management is very much valued and a positive attitude to customer service will be of great benefit.

The ideal candidate would have some understanding of the Food Manufacturing/Wholesaling industry, although this is not essential.

What are the attributes required for this role?
  • A drive to get in and make the role your own
  • Documented experience with MYOB / XERO or similar
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Cashflow / Cashflow Management & Budgets 
  • Ability to work with key staff to learn and develop new systems
  • Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
  • Clear and rational communicator
  • Be comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Positively contribute to company culture
  • A willingness to learn a new operation and new systems and opportunity to influence the path ahead
