Trades Assistant/ Assembly Workers – NOR

· $34 per hour Paid Weekly
· Temp to Perm opportunity
· Morning Shift – Monday to Friday 

About the Role
Our client is a WA owned and operated Steel Fabrication manufacturer based in Northern suburbs and servicing Perth for over 50 years. We are looking to add a youthful Trades Assistant with experience in assembly of metal components and use of hand power tools.This is a long term rewarding entry level position for the right candidate with great attitude and energy.The ideal candidate is proactive, takes pride in their work, and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Some understanding of reading of technical drawings
  • Competent & safe handling of workshop power hand tools
  • Working to the pace of the set job production timeframes
  • Assisting with packing of wall & truss packs ready for transport. (Forklift license an advantage)
  • Using the strap packing machine
  • Responsibility of issued trolley & hand tools
  • General house keeping to maintain a clean safe work area.
  • Some experience in similar workshop environment
About You
You will ideally have:
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and be RELIABLE.
  • Previous experience in a workshop or warehouse role.
  • A current LF Forklift Licence. (preferred)
  • A current Drivers license
  • Exp using various hand power tools
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
