About the Role:
Our client is a leading distributor of cleaning supplies to warehouses, offices, schools, commercial cleaners and everything in between. We are currently looking to add an experienced Warehouse Storeperson / Forklift Operator to their team.

This is a pick packing / warehouse allrounder role within a steady environment where you'll be part of a supportive team. The right candidate will be given the opportunity to settle into the business with a view to securing a permanent position.

Working as part of the warehouse team, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Pick packing palletised and smaller carton orders
  • Operating a VO8 order picker forklift
  • Loading and unloading trucks using a counterbalance forklift
  • Receipt and put-away of incoming goods
  • Start to finish order picking process
  • Picking orders using manual pick slips and 100% checking before dispatch
  • Preparing goods for dispatch (wrapping, strapping & labelling cartons and pallets)
  • Booking dispatch through courier online portals
  • General warehouse duties and housekeeping
  • Occasional container unloading when required
The warehouse currently operates primarily using manual pick slips and an internal computer system. The processes are straightforward, and full training on the specific systems and procedures will be provided by the experienced team. The products are all commercial cleaning related, mainly stored in uniform boxes ranging from 1kg - 20kg+.

Previous high-reach / aisle stacker experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.

What do we ask from you?
  • Current Forklift Licence (essential)
  • Current Drivers' Licence
  • Previous warehouse / pick packing experience
  • Experience operating Counterbalance forklift
  • High reach forklift experience (highly regarded)
  • Reliable and punctual work ethic
  • Good attention to detail when picking orders
  • Ability to perform daily tasks with a safety conscious mindset
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Decent level of fitness to consistently manual handle daily
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Full Australian work rights
