Peter Spark

Managing Director

Born and bred in Perth, Western Australia, Peter is a keen mountain biker, camper, champion of Ride for Youth and loves to shake hands.

“We’ve come a long way since launching IRP in 2006. We’ve grown from a two-man outfit into a medium-sized business that manages over three-hundred clients and an even longer list of skilled people working in the field.

“It comes down to connecting people; the right people. That has been our mission from day one. Staying with this formula has allowed us to forge strong relationships within the community.”


Michelle Lockyer

Finance and Administration Manager

Family focused and a huge fan of AFL, Michelle is also a proud supporter of Australian Childhood Foundation and Mummy’s Wish. From day one she has played an important role in the growth of IRP.

“I’ve seen many changes, many faces come and go, but I truly love working with Peter and the team at IRP. The work provides a lot of personal satisfaction and I feel that I am making an important contribution. Being able to assist people in the business is very rewarding.”

“All of my pre-children career was in oil and gas. Post family I joined the West Perth Football Club as Finance Officer, then took a position at Central Park Communications. Eighteen months later I met Peter… the rest is history.”

Carissa Jones

Payroll Administrator

Carissa was born and bred in Perth, but lived and worked in London for two years.

She loves travelling when time permits, spending time with family, and is currently learning to speak Persian.

“I joined the team at IRP back in August 2012. What I’ve enjoyed most is the supportive work environment and the fact that we’re encouraged to take responsibility for our actions and deliver solutions to our customers (candidates and clients). Paying our candidates correctly and on time is really important to me and to IRP, so I strive to maintain a high level of attention to detail in my work.”


Christine Clark

Account Manager – Resources & Trades

Chris comes from a diverse background – born in New Zealand, studied at university, and has a BA in English and Not-for-Profit Management. She has sixteen years’ recruitment industry experience  eight years in a New Zealand Not-for-Profit organisation and eight years at IRP (so far). 

 “I joined the team at IRP back in 2010 and learnt the business from the ground up. I started out as a Recruitment Support Officer. Now as an Account Manager I look after Clients in the Resources and Industrial Trades sectors. I love meeting new and diverse people and I’m especially driven by matching the right Candidate with the right Client. 

Outside the office I have a passion for cooking and I’m a huge music fan. I love family time – I’m devoted to my grandchildren – and volunteer work.” 


Cindy O’Connor

Recruitment Consultant – Mining

From Birmingham UK, Cindy loves dirt biking, music and her car, and supports White Ribbon Australia.

“My background is actually a mix of communications and design but I’ve been working in recruitment for about six and a half years. One of my best experiences was mobilising hundreds of workers to Rio Tinto.”

“Peter runs training every week for the whole team. The level of training we receive is outstanding. This is something I have never experienced and am very grateful for. I love working for a company that genuinely cares about people.”


Kate Barr

Local Government Business Manager

While born in England, Kate moved to Australia thirty-one years ago so well and truly feels like an Aussie. She loves to spend time with family, going to AFL and Rugby Union games, doting on her ‘fur baby’, Bruni (that’s a dog), and supports Cancer Council. 

 “I’ve been working in recruitment for the past fifteen years, predominantly in the public sector doing white-collar. I started working at IRP a little over a year ago and have had the opportunity to work with the local government sector filling blue collar positions, which has been an interesting change of pace.” 

 “Success to me means being respected by my clients and candidates and having a good reputation. There’s a good team environment at IRP and supportive management in place to enable me to achieve that success.”
